CIC Objectives
Our Mission — Preserving Heritage, Empowering Communities
The WG Game Company CIC (17071774) exists to advance heritage education, social inclusion, youth and adult wellbeing, and stronger communities through creative learning and community engagement. As a Community Interest Company, our work celebrates the legacy of the Windrush Generation while creating opportunities for people to explore history, identity, migration, and belonging through inclusive and community‑led learning experiences.
Our programmes bring young people, families, educators, community organisations, and cultural institutions together to learn from one another, strengthen community connections, and ensure that the stories and contributions of the Windrush Generation remain visible and valued across the United Kingdom.
Why Our Work Is Needed
Across the UK, many communities face barriers to accessing inclusive cultural education and heritage learning opportunities. Young people in particular are experiencing growing pressures affecting their confidence, well-being, and sense of belonging.
Important stories connected to migration, identity, and Caribbean heritage are still under-represented in many educational spaces. Without accessible programmes that celebrate diverse histories, communities risk losing important cultural knowledge, and young people may miss opportunities to develop pride in their heritage and confidence in their identity.
Our work responds directly to these challenges by providing accessible, culturally relevant programmes that celebrate heritage, reduce social isolation, and strengthen understanding between communities.
What We Do
We deliver educational and community programmes designed to make heritage education engaging, accessible, and meaningful.
• Educational workshops exploring the legacy and contributions of the Windrush Generation
• Delivery and facilitation of The WG Game Company CIC as an interactive learning tool
• Cultural heritage programmes connecting communities through storytelling and shared history
• Educational resources for schools, youth organisations, and community groups
• Community events celebrating Caribbean heritage and Windrush history
• Collaborative projects with schools, museums, cultural institutions, and community partners
Supporting Young People’s Mental Health and Well-being
A key priority of our work is supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of young people through creative and culturally grounded activities.
We create safe and inclusive spaces where young people can explore their emotions, build confidence, and express themselves through drama, storytelling, sport, music, and the arts.
These activities help young people develop resilience, strengthen communication skills, build supportive relationships, and develop a stronger sense of identity and belonging.
Our Measurable Outcomes
Our programmes aim to:
• Increase young people’s confidence and self-expression
• Improve cultural understanding across communities
• Provide accessible heritage learning opportunities for underserved groups
How Our Work Creates Change (Theory of Change)
By combining heritage education, creative expression, and community engagement, we design our programmes to create long-term social impact.
When people participate in our workshops, storytelling programmes, and cultural activities, they learn more about The WG Game Company CIC and the broader history of migration and identity in the UK.
Through shared learning experiences, participants develop confidence, empathy, and stronger connections with others. These initiatives eventually result in more inclusive communities, better cross-cultural understanding, and stronger community ties.
Monitoring and Evaluation
To ensure our programmes have meaningful impacts, we use a range of monitoring and evaluation methods.
• Participant feedback and surveys
• Reflective discussions and learning activities
• Facilitator observations and programme reports
• Feedback from partner schools, organisations, and community groups
These insights allow us to measure progress, understand participants' experiences, and continually improve the quality and effectiveness of our programmes.
Partnership and Community Collaboration
Collaboration is central to our work. We actively partner with schools, youth organisations, cultural institutions, museums, and community groups to ensure our programmes reach the people who benefit most.
Working with trusted local partners helps us deliver activities that are culturally inclusive, community‑led, and responsive to local needs. These partnerships also allow us to expand the reach of our programmes and increase access to underserved communities.
Our Community Impact
Our work contributes to stronger, more connected communities by increasing awareness of Caribbean heritage, encouraging dialogue across generations, and creating inclusive spaces where people can explore identity, culture, and belonging.
Through heritage education and creative learning, we help reduce social isolation, strengthen cultural pride, and build confidence among participants.
Our Commitment as a Community Interest Company
As a Community Interest Company, we are committed to ensuring that our activities deliver clear public benefit.
All surplus income generated through our work is reinvested in expanding community programmes, developing new educational resources, and increasing access to heritage learning opportunities across the UK.
We aim to grow these programmes through partnerships with schools, community organisations, and cultural institutions so that more communities can benefit from inclusive heritage education and youth development opportunities.
Expanding Our Impact
Our work is designed to be scalable so that heritage education, youth well-being programmes, and community learning experiences can reach more schools, community groups, and underserved communities across the United Kingdom.
We prioritise working with communities that may have limited access to cultural education, creative learning opportunities, or safe spaces for young people to develop confidence and express themselves.
By combining heritage education with creative activities such as storytelling, drama, sports, and the arts, we create inclusive programmes that support both learning and emotional well-being.
We develop our programmes with input from the community to ensure their cultural relevance, accessibility, and responsiveness to the needs of participants and partner organisations.
Through continued collaboration with schools, community organisations, cultural institutions, and funders, we aim to expand the reach and long-term sustainability of our work.
By investing in heritage education, youth development, and community engagement, our programmes help strengthen communities, celebrate cultural identities, and inspire future generations.
